[FULL] SATURDAY BL – LAKE LYELL Kayaking

Keen to explore the mountains and spend a day paddling around on a lake. Well get ready cause this is the perfect trip for you! 

Is this for you? … YES!!!! 

This is for anyone keen to have a fun day of games, paddling, and chilling out on the lake. No kms will be crunched and no previous paddling experience is required. 

What’s the plan? 

We’ll be heading out in the morning to Lake Lyell where we’ll spend the day paddling around, playing games, chilling on the shore and perhaps a spot of fishing for the keen fishos out there. Be prepared to have a great day on the water no matter the weather. A BBQ may be on the table, but this is still to be confirmed. We will let you know closer to the day, but bring lunch just in case if you haven’t heard anything.

• Your previous paddling experience (if any) 

• Whether you have a car with roof racks 

• Whether you have a kayak (or two) you could bring 

Also let me know the best (or worst) meal you’ve ever made while camping. 

“You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly”

Bring’th these things 

• Suitable clothes for paddling (swimmers/wetsuit – it might be hot, cold, windy or rainy so be prepared for the conditions) 
  • ABSOLUTELY NO COTTON!
  • Rain jacket if its rainy

• Towel 

• Dry change of clothes for after
  • bring some warm clothes

• Lunch 

• Snacks for on the water 

• Sunscreen 

• Drybag for  spare clothes, camera etc.

• WATER!! 

• Water/beach games (optional) 

• Fishing gear 🙂 (optional) 

• Yourself (preferably) 

The club will provide paddles, life jackets and kayaks 

Signups!!!! 

Priority will be given to people who have a car with roofracks, and also to people who own a kayak and can bring it along because spaces are limited by number of kayaks
