Recommended gear list would be:

  • We really need bolt plates bring what you have!
  • Own harness & shoes
  • For your chalkback it is good to actually tie it around your waist with some prussik cord or tube tabe. Always good to have that bit of extra tat for bailing.
  • Belay device. ATC-Guide or Reverso is preferred but any will do.
  • Draws. Bring what you have.
  • Locking carabiners. 3 minimum, 4-6 is a good number. Some free non-locking carabiners are good too.
  • Slings. One or two double-length (120cm) slings for anchors are great.
  • Prussiks. Minimum 1 short and 1 long, an extra long prussik or cordelette is great. Alternately a mini ascender isn’t a bad idea (traxion, ropeman etc)
  • Water and packed lunch

Meeting at 10AM at Medlow Bath station!
