Interclub weekend!

We welcome you to attend the Interclub Weekend!

“What is this?” you might be asking. Well, it is a weekend away for all the trip leaders and experienced club members of UNSWOC, UTSOAC, and SURMC to go away, camp together and push each other’s limits in order to learn and share new skills, and make new friends or life long belay buddies. THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER WEEKEND. The trips are typically intermediate or higher, meaning that you need to be able to take care of yourself, whether it’s climbing, canyoning, caving or hiking (you can still use club gear from your own clubs).

The plan:
Carpool down Friday night, do some epic trips Saturday, have some festivities Saturday night whilst dressed like the Michelin Man (dressing up is encouraged!). Then we’ll wake up and do another awesome trip Sunday, drive back Sunday night.

What to Bring:
Bring camping gear, appropriate gear and clothing for whatever trips you plan to do, food, alcohol, and fuel money if you are grabbing a lift with someone.

How this is going to work:
There are plenty of cool things around (canyons, caves, sketchy trad and sport, hikes, and an abundance of bouldering). Seeing as this is not a beginner’s weekend there is no traditional “trip leader and attendees” format. If you want to do anything in particular, comment below specifying what you’d like to do on the facebook page here, and how many people can join. People can then coordinate from there.
