The Interclub Weekend is where we go to the mountains with the other University clubs in Sydney (UTSOAC, SUBW, SURMC). Like last year itโs an opportunity for us to get to know the other clubs and share knowledge and have fun. Weโll have up to 50 people from each club.
Itโll be the usual drive up Friday night, do things Saturday-Sunday, and head back down. The weekend is NOT the same as Boree Log; there wonโt be dinner provided and it is notย aย beginner weekend. The trips are typicallyย intermediate or higher, meaning that you need to be able to take care of yourself, whether itโs climbing, canyoning, or hiking (you can still use club gear).
Weโre staying at Old Ford Reserve DUNPHY’S CAMPGROUNDย on Megalong Valley Road (cross the railway tracks at Blackheath and drive down the hill, campsite is at the river). There is no drinking water but there is a river next to the campsite.
Trips to go up will be includeย hiking trips, climbing trips, and canyoning trips on Saturday and Sunday. You are of course free to go do your own thing but itโll be more fun if you get amongst it. Get networking people, itโs the future!
ย
As usual you will need to be attending this event to go on the individual trips.
More details as they get fleshed out.
