Ever wanted to learn how the old school climbers did it, jump into some crack or expand your horizons? Mac, Maria, Jenny and I (Mira) will be leading a trad climbing trip this weekend!
This learn to trad trip is specifically for girls (and gender queer) people to encourage you to push your comfort zones, but still feel safe.
On the trip we will be placing gear on top rope, checking your gear and maybe, if your ready, doing some leading.
Things to bring:
- Harness
- Helmet
- ATC
- Safety
- Lunch
- At least 2l Water
- Hat, sunscreen ect
- warm jumper
- any trad gear you already own
As we would like to go to a busy and hot place this trip will start early (7:30 at the car park) there is the option to camp together in the mountains on Friday night. Write in the comments if you are prepared for this/ are self sufficient to camp.
As for wether, the rock needs to be dry, especially for cracks so if the wether Is bad we may need to post pone/move to Sunday. I will make the call on this on Wednesday to give people time to prepare
let me know in the comments what your experience with trad climbing is. If you have little to no trad experience I will be running an introduction workshop at the ledge on Thursday (LINK HERE)
If you have any questions, feel free to message me (Mira bug)
