Hey guys and gals, Marley and I (Steve) are running a bouldering trip to Frontlines in North Rocks. There’s heaps of stuff from V0-V11, so there will be plenty for everyone to jump on and have a good time. It’s going to be an early start from 10:30am until whenever you please, but most likely around 2-3 hours climb.
What to bring:
* Climbing shoes & chalk
* Food, snacks & water
* Bouldering mats if you have any – marley and I will both be bringing some mats but you can never have too many.
Frontlines is a pretty large bouldering area so there’s plenty of space to move around. Getting there: (By car) Frontlines is best accessed by car. I find it easiest to navigate to 4 Larra Crescent, North Rocks, and then walk down the path next to the house with a mini red fire truck out front. From there about 30m along there is a well worn path down the hill with a small creek on your right, follow this path for about 50m. When you hit the cliff-line turn left and scramble down wherever you please, this is the Frontline area (directions courtesy of the Crag).
Alternatively give either marley or I a buzz if you arrive at a different time and we can come find you. If you can drive please message either of us so we can arrange some sort of car pooling. Driving is probably the most convenient way to get to the crag. (By bus) Alternatively take a Hills bus from Townhall to the M2 – Barclay Road Interchange bus stop and then it is a 15 minute walk.
In the comments lemme know where you usually climb and how long youve done it for.
THE CLIMBS Check out the Crag’s guide to the Frontlines area to suss out all the climbs.
Once numbers are confirmed, we’ll create a facebook group to finalise car pooling etc.
Cheers!
