Hey cool kids! Raine, Noahย and I (Oscar) are planning on running a sport climbing trip down to Nowra to Thompson’s Point crag on Sat 22nd. There is large variety of climbs available starting from the mid teens, as such it is expected you at least have a little indoor climbing experience before signing up for the trip.

It will be an earlier start, leaving Sydney at 7:30 am to get down there at ~10 am and make the most of the day. We will start off at the Descent Gully Walls where we will set up some top ropes before heading down towards Orca and Betty Blue area where there are a couple good climbs to learn/practice lead climbing. We will try to be back at the car’s by 5:30 pm to drive back to Sydney. Hidden question: in your comment tell us your least favourite form of public transport.

What to Bring:

  • Water (minimum 2L)
  • Food (lunch and snacks)
  • Climbing shoes * + chalk (optional but helpful)
  • Harness *
