DAY HIKE – Coastal Track – Royal National Park

Hi everyone!

Myself (Louis) and Lloyd will be running a beginner’s day hike this Sunday (25th Feb).

We’ll be doing a section of the Royal Coast Track starting from Bundeena and going to Little Marley Beach which is a ~14Km out and back trail through the coastal heathland and eucalyptus forests of the Royal NP, along a relatively flat single trail, and should be suitable for everyone regardless of hiking experience. Little Marley is also a lovely spot for a swim so be sure to bring some swimmers if you want!

We will meet at Cronulla Station at 8:00am before walking together to Cronulla Wharf to get the 8:30am ferry, which should give us plenty of time to get the hike done by mid afternoon. Ferries run only once an hour so please be on time if not a bit early! The ferry also costs $4.40 for students and and $8.80 for general access (payable by card or cash) so be sure to bring student IDs and some money.
Also, if anyone drives and wants to meet us at Bundeena instead let us know, we will be arriving at Bundeena Wharf at 9:00am
For the return, we will aim to be back at Bundeena Wharf for the 3:00pm ferry back to Cronulla.

It’s going to be a great day! So get excited for many spectacular cliff views, waterfalls, beaches, all sorts of finches, and funky rock formations!

– comfortable shoes to walk in
– sunscreen
– sunnies
– 2L of water
– snacks
– lunch
– swimmers
– towel
– first aid kit (if you have one)
– any personal medication you might normally carry with you
– something to share
– rain jacket
