Ever been to Barden’s and admired the lovely access steps in the gully? Or maybe the beautiful sandstone retaining walls around Shipley are more your thing. These works are the result of volunteers participating in Crag Care.
A group of us will be contributing to this noble cause on Saturday 2nd November at Shipley/Centennial Glenn in Blackheath.
Details on what to expect on the day are below. We can probs get a quick climb in the afternoon, and I’m considering staying up in the mountains so we might climb Sunday as well 🙂
Thats the rough plan, if you’re keen sign up below (add any dietary requirements in the comments).
Check out Vicky’s trip report from a previous Crag Care UNSWOC attended here.
On the day:
We meet at 8:30 at Centennial Glen / Shipley carpark.
Bring a bottle of water, wear sturdy shoes & clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. (+ hat & sunscreen if needed). Gloves and protective glasses are provided by Cragcare, but you are welcome to bring your own if you want (they are disposable).
Morning tea is provided around 10:30 (a little misguiding as there will be no tea :), just pastries and fruit), and lunch around 1pm. The day will finish between 3-4.
This trip is now full, sign up below if you want to be on the waiting list 🙂
