Hi guys,
Liam, Abi, Nick and I will be running a beginner climbing trip to coke ovens on the Saturday. It’s walking distance from the campsite (with one river crossing). There is a range of different climbing there and a great opportunity to learn how to crack climb!
You will need to bring:
- Sunscreen (will be in the sun for most of the day)
- Lunch
- Water (at least 1.5L)
- Harness *
- Helmet *
- Locking carabiner *
- ATC *
- Climbing shoes *
- Chalk bag (optional)
- Snacks for trip leaders!
- Some climbing/sports tape to protect your hands (optional)
*Club will provide this gear for you (Free) on saturday morning. Please bring your own if you have it though!
