(Please note that you MUST be signed up to the ledge to attend this session)
Are you learning to lead climb outside? Ever wondered what your trip leaders are doing when they are faffing about at the top of a route at the end of the day? Want to magically collect gear and come down safely?
Then come to the Ledge Thursday to learn how to clean outdoor anchors with me (Sammy) and Sarah!
This is an essential skill for your safety and to ensure you aren’t leaving your precious gear behind for others to grab (i.e. crag swag)!
You need to be:
- Keen to develop your outdoor climbing skills
- Physically at the ledge at 6:30pm
You need to bring:
- Your harness
- Two locking carabiners
- A self-anchor/safety sling/daisy chain/belay sling (yes, these are all different words for the same thing)
If you don’t have a safety sling or carabiners, do not fret! If you get onto the workshop just shoot me a message (Sammy Millard) and I can bring for you (if you don’t have facebook, put your email in the comments).
We will be cleaning from 6:30pm and then just keep going until everyone feels confident, but feel free to climb before or after.
Looking forward to the clean up!
