Boulder n Brunch

Hello everyone!

WELCOME TO THE UNSW OUTDOORS CLUB!

We will be running an O-week special to go bouldering trip at 9 Degrees Waterloo. Entry to the gym will cost $13.50 for the event, and shoes can be borrowed from the club or hired from the gym on the day.

There will be snacks and socialising and intense moral support!

Beginner and crusher friendly!

If you’re new to the club or thinking of joining the club, this is a great opportunity to meet some of our members and learn more about the club. We do a lot more than bouldering and climbing – though these are obviously the best activities (: – so you can have a chat with someone and find out more about other activities you’re interested in, like canyoning, hiking, kayaking or mountain biking.

Don’t worry if you’ve never climbed before – bouldering takes the rope, harness and other hassle out of climbing, and you can start at any skill/strength/mental fortitude level and have a great time!

You’ll need to bring:

• Comfortable clothes (something you can exercise in, and something you don’t mind getting chalk and sweat all over)
• Water
• Climbing shoes (these can be borrowed from the club on the day, or you can hire them from the gym: for free if it’s your first visit or $7 otherwise)

If it’s your first time visiting a 9 Degrees Gym, you’ll need to fill out a waiver form, which can be done online here or at the gym when you arrive. You can also find more information about bouldering and the gym at their first visit page.
