CAMPING ONLY

Boree Log Term 3 2024

11th – 13th October

CARPOOLING SPREADSHEET

PUNCH OF PUNISHMENT

Missed out on Boree Log signups but still want to come along for a weekend of fun, friends and good times? Then you’re in the right place.

We are opening up some CAMPING ONLY spots for Boree Log because we want as many of you to be involved as possible.

What this means

  • You get to come along to the same campground as everyone else from Friday night to Sunday morning
  • Saturday night you get to join in on the Hectic Hollywood themed Party and Dinner (yes, we will happily feed you). Please include any dietary requirements you may have in your comment!
  • During the day on Saturday and Sunday you are more than welcome to split off and have your own adventures
    • There’s plenty of amazing day hikes around the area or you can go for a lovely swim in the river. If you are self sufficient by all means go for a climb too!

This event we will be at Cathedral Reserve Campground at Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains. Our theme is HECTIC HOLLYWOOD! This means that we we wanted to see you dressed up as your favourite movie characters and actors from the biggest Hollywood blockbusters!

If people on trips drop out at the last minute you will have first priority to replace them.

NOTE: Please do not expect to find any last minute free spots on official Boree Log Trips once you get there, these are currently full and the numbers need to be capped for safety.

What do I need to bring! (IMPORTANT)

  • Food and Water –There is NO drinking water at the campground so bring your own! Ensure you have a water container that can carry at least 2L for your day trips! It can get quite hot during the day. We will only be providing dinner on Saturday night. There is also no power so bring a camping cooker or food that doesn’t need to be cooked
  • Tent – If you have your own tent, please bring it. The club has a very limited number of tents that can be borrowed from the gear cupboard, these are first-come-first-served.
  • Sleeping Bag and Sleeping Mat – You need to bring your own as it may be chilly, and a yoga mat/blanket might not be a fun night’s sleep for you
  • WARM CLOTHES – We’re hoping for warm weather and clear skies, please be prepared for cold nights and rain if need be!
  • Check this packing list if you are unsure what else to bring.
  • Personal items (e.g. toiletries, face mask, head torches, rain jackets, day pack, personal first aid kits, SUNSCREEN, cutlery, plate/bowl, water bottle, alcohol for Saturday night if you want)

How do I get there?

  • You’ll be able to use the same carpooling spreadsheet as the Main Boree log event (see link above)
  • Please let us know in your signup if you have a car, and how many spots you have in the comment!

Other Frequently Asked questions:

  • Q: Can I bring a hairdryer/microwave?
    • A: No, we have no power at the campground. And yes we have been asked this before
  • Q: Are there any toilet facilities?
    • A: There are drop toilets. No running water. Please bring toilet paper!
  • Q: Is there cell service at the campsite?
    • A: There is NO RECEPTION at this site
  • For more questions like this, and actual answers too, see the FAQ

Cost:
