<<<Please Note: You must be approved for Boree log to attend this trip>>>
Eamonn and I will be running a chilled day of rock climbing and deep water soloing (climbing without ropes above deep water). For people who are new to rock climbing or have never climbed outdoors before, this is the perfect trip for you. We’ll set up ropes just past the dam, teach you how to tie into a rope and safely belay your fellow climbers, and answer any questions you may have about outdoor rock climbing. The grade range of the area is about 11 – 25 with most routes being in the low to high teens.
As with all Boree Log trips, people with cars will be preferenced for sign-ups. When you are signing up there should be an option to indicate your ownership of an available and functional motor vehicle. Please tick the box if you are one of these people.
What YOU need to bring:
- Lunch and water for the day
- Sunscreen
- Swimmers and towel
- Any personal rock climbing gear that you own i.e. harness, rock climbing shoes, helmet, chalk, belay devices, and locking carabiners
- Backpack for all of the above
What WE will bring and what may need to be shared:
- Climbing shoes
