Boree Log Saturday: Damned Cliffs!

On Saturday, Kylie and myself will be running some ‘sweet ez’ climbing at Dam Cliffs. This event is perfect for those who have never climbed outdoors and would like to give it a go. The climbs range from easy to hard, so skill level is no issue! There’s also a deep water solo, so bring swimmers/westuit and a change of clothes if you’d like to give it a go! Depending on the availability of equipment, there may be an opportunity to lead for intermediate climbers.

WHAT TO BRING:

Gear will be sorted on Saturday morning, but you need to bring:

• Helmet
• Harness
• Belay device (e.g. an ATC) and locking biner
• Climbing shoes
• Chalk and chalk bag
• Food and water (1.5L of water and snacks+lunch)
• Sunscreen
• Crush

Optional:

• Swimmers/wetsuit
• Oak for celebrating your ascents
