BL Sunday – Beginner Climbing at Tianjara Falls

NOTE: Registration for all Boree Log day trips will open on Tuesday at 6 pm. You must already be accepted onto the main Boree Log event in order to attend.

James, Zee and I (Pat) will be leading a beginner climbing trip to Tianjara Falls in New Nowra on Sunday! It’s a great crag with fairly tall routes and routes of pretty much all grades.

We’ll be setting up top ropes during the day so no climbing experience is required! If you’re interested in learning to lead climb let us know and we can get you started.

What you’ll need:

• At least 2L water (it will be hot)
• Lunch and snacks
• Sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunnies)
• Helmet *
• Harness *
• Climbing shoes (optional but highly recommended)
• Belay device and carabiner *
• Safety sling and carabiner * (if you want to learn to clean)

Items with (*) can be borrowed from the club on Sunday morning. Climbing shoes can also be borrowed from the club but only on the regular Thursday gear night this week.
