Come along for a fun day of beginner/easy intermediate mountain biking this Sunday at Manly Dam with Hamish, David and myself (Bennett).
We’ll meet at 9am at the the main road into Manly Dam and start our loop from there – King Street carpark outside the Hydro research facility. With plenty of trails along the way we’ll pick and choose what we ride depending on our group’s ability. Manly Dam is the perfect place to ride if you’re new to the sport and want to give it a try. Should be finished early/mid afternoon depending how much we ride.
Getting to Manly Dam is pretty easy by public transport if needed. A ferry to Manly wharf and then a 20 minute ride along cycle paths will get you there.
What you’ll need:
- Mountain Bike – the club does not own any so you’ll need your own (or borrow a friends). Please check everything works before coming.
- Helmet – Bring other safety gear if you have/want it, but a helmet is mandatory.
- Water – There are a few places along the way to fill up but bring some for along the way
- Repairs – basic repairs, e.g. tube, multi-tool
- Snacks
If you have any questions feel free to message any of us.
Leave a comment with any past mountain bike experience. See you all there ready for a fun day of sick trails.
