[FULL] Beginner/Intermediate Sport Climbing Blue Mountains…. (likely Bardens)… 19th Feb

Thanks to everyone who signed up, but we are now full! Keep signing up to future trips, we’d have loved to be able to take you all!

Katie, Georgie, and I (Sammy) will lead a beginners/intermediate climbing trip on Sunday 19th to Bardens (Blue Mountains). — Note. we may switch crags depending on arrival/sun/heat

Let us know in the comments if you are interested in learning to lead or clean routes and we can show you where to get started 🙂

But, we will be setting up top ropes too so no experience is required, only enthusiasm to touch rocks!

You will need to bring:

Climbing gear:

• Harness*
• Climbing Shoes*
• Helmet*
• Belay device and locking carabiner*
• Safety sling and locking carabiner * (if you want to learn to clean)
• Chalk Bag (optional but recommended if you have sweaty tips)

Other:

• At least 2L of water
• Food and snacks for the day
• Sunscreen
• Personal medicines (epipen, asthma puffer, etc.,)
• Comfortable clothes to climb in
• Enclosed comfortable shoes for the approach
• A head torch (just incase we are too psyched to leave before dark…)

(*) – Can be borrowed from the gear shed Thursday 5:30-6:30pm, hire is free for club trips but remember to bring cash for a deposit!
