** TRIP FULL** Beginner Climbing – The Soft Parade

Nic, Xab, and I (Sammy) will lead a beginners climbing/learn to lead trip on Saturday to the Soft Parade (Blue Mountains).

Let us know if you are interested in learning to lead or clean routes and we can show you where to get started 🙂

But, we will be setting up top ropes too so no experience is required, only enthusiasm to touch rocks!

You will need to bring:

Climbing gear:

• Harness*
• Climbing Shoes*
• Helmet*
• Belay device and locking carabiner*
• Safety sling and locking carabiner * (if you want to learn to clean)
• Chalk Bag (optional but recommended)

Other:

• At least 2L of water
• Food and snacks for the day
• Sunscreen
• Personal medicines (epipen, etc.,)
• Comfortable clothes to climb in
• Enclosed comfortable shoes for the approach
• A head torch (just incase we are too psyched to leave before dark…)

(*) – Can be borrowed from the gear shed 4-5pm Thursday, hire is free for club trips but remember to bring cash for a deposit!
