Are you someone who wasted there entire Boree Log at a crag??
Or even worse a hung over walk through the bush…
Well you have the power to rectify that by coming down a canyon with Leo and I this Sunday!
We’re going down Yileen which in my (very humble) opinion has got it all.
Gigantic 50m abseil โ ๏ธ
Super easy walk in and out โ ๏ธ
Views pretty enough to make me say WOW… Guaranteedโ ๏ธโ ๏ธ
Now for the important stuff, so read up.
Canyoning is a bit more intensive than your normal hike so you will need some to pick up some specialist gear at the gear cupboard This Thursday. If your missing anything let me know before Saturday night and I can fix you up. Otherwise you might be staying at home
Stuff you can borrow from the Gear cupboard:
- Canyoning harness
- Helmet
- Wetsuit
- 2x Locking carabiners
- 1x Figure 8 descender
- 1x Safety sling
- Drybag/keg
Other gear you must bring:
- Backpack that can fit ALL your gear and that can get wet (30L+)
- Emergency blanket โ (can buy from Gear Cupboard for $5 or from chemists, shops, etc)
- Enclosed shoes with good grip, suitable for water and bushwalking
- Thermals and raincoat
- Swimmers for under wetsuit!!!
- 2L of water
- Lunch
Please note the Crayfish Cafรฉ closed down mid last year so you Mustย bring your own
- Snacks to share with meee ๐
- Medication (asthma puffer, Epipen etc)
- Headtorch + spare batteries
- Dry clothes and a towel for the drive back home
If your missing any of these items let me know I have spares of everything at my house NOT at the top of the canyon. So just ask.
In the comment tell me you about your abilitys in abseiling, swiming, being a cool person to talk to and your excuse for not canyoning on boree.
