Beautiful autumn, beautiful weather, let’s go climbing! – SATURDAY THE 2nd –
We are running an intermediate sport climbing trip to Bourbon wall (https://www.thecrag.com/climbing/australia/south-west/area/624385557). The easiest grade is 17, although the main grades go from 19 to 24. We will set up top ropes for everyone to give them a go (no rope knowledge needed)! Bourbon wall is a local crag so it’s a short drive from Sydney. We will meet at the car park before 10 am and climb until the sunset (or until the skin of your fingers falls, whatever wins). We will car-pool to get there, so let me know if you have a car (and you get preference)! 🙂
You will need (*if you have all your own gear, rope and quickdraws, bring it!):
- Harness + locker carabiner + belay device (atc or grigri) -> Can be borrowed from gear cupboard.
- Helmet -> Can be borrowed from gear cupboard.
- Climbing shoes + chalk bag -> Can be borrowed from gear cupboard.
- Water + food
- Warm clothes + good-grip shoes to walk to the wall
- Optional but good idea: sunscreen, headtorch, tape, chocolate.
Get keen for an awesome day of climbing! Send me a message if you have any questions!
