If you are keen to do more rogaines though, there’s one in Springwood in August (take the train up), and in November there’s one in Engadine in Southern Sydney! Keep an eye out on the UNSWOC facebook page for relevant announcements – I’ll see you there ๐Ÿ™‚

The first bush rogaine of the year is coming up in 3 weeks, and it would be great to see some UNSWOC faces there ๐Ÿ˜

What is a rogaine?
Essentially a treasure hunt in the bush! Youโ€™ll get to put your navigation skills to the test, using a map and compass to find marked locations to score points. Youโ€™ve only got 6 hours though, so donโ€™t be back late!
Weโ€™ll be using our navigation skills to explore the stunning Belanglo State Forest. There will be plenty of route options for all ages, navigational abilities and fitness levels. You can expect to meander with friends and family along hiking loops of your design, or challenge yourself to stride out big loops with steep climbs, accumulating big points. This is your chance to go loopy! Whatever you choose you will revel in the sandstone country with grand canyon views and beautiful flora and fauna.

Head back to the HH when you are ready, enjoy a catered meal, and reflect on the day with all the other participants before heading back home with lots of new memories.

  • When? 9am to 3pm, Sunday 15th June. Camping is available the night before.
  • Where? Belanglo State Forest, ~2 hours drive from Sydney.
  • How much? $45 for a student concession, else $65.
  • Signups close?ย Friday 6th June (so that we can organise teams)
