To attend any trip, you must have an active UNSW Outdoors Club membership and sign up for the trip on this website. The sign-up link will be posted on the UNSWOC Facebook group approximately one week in advance of each trip. Alternatively, you can go to your profile settings and choose to receive email notifications whenever a new trip is posted on this website. These trips are free of charge (exceptions for resort snow trips, locations with camping fees, petrol for the driver etc.).

Technical gear for club trips (such as harnesses, helmets, wetsuits, ropes, etc.) can be borrowed from the UNSWOC Gear Cupboard free of charge (ask Exec for a discount code for trip participants). Follow the link to Booqable to rent gear from our system. All gear must be returned to the gear cupboard within 3 weeks from the date of borrowing, clean and dry, otherwise you forfeit some of your deposit.

Trips generally take place on either Saturday or Sunday (day trips), or over the whole weekend (overnight). Trips can be beginner, intermediate or advanced: feel free to message the trip leader if you are unsure of your skill level. When attending a trip, please bring some cash ($5-10) to chip in for petrol for your lovely driver 😊.

Keep in mind that all trips are weather dependant, the schedule is like life, things change. There is also likely to be impromptu trips posted so keep your eyes peeled on the Facebook group.
