SATURDAY BOREE LOG – BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CANYONING TRIP TO SERENDIPITY
Matthew and I (Jenny) will be leading a beginner/intermediate canyoning trip on SATURDAY for Boree Log down Serendipity (find all the details here: https://ozultimate.com/canyoning/track_notes/why_dont_we_do_it_in_the_road.htm).
You must be approved for Boree Log to attend.
The plan is to set off from the campground on Saturday morning and return in daylight! The canyon has a few abseils 🙂
You will need:
- To be keen, know how to swim and (ideally) know how to abseil.
- Enclosed shoes with good grip e.g. volleys
- Wollen socks
- Boardshorts to wear on top of a wetsuit
- Thermals
- A spare layer e.g. fleece or raincoat
- 2 l water
- Food and snacks
- Sunscreen
- Personal medication
- Headtorch
- A dry bag
- A backpack to fit all your gear in that you down mind getting wet
- Canyoning gear – we’ll sort this out on Saturday morning at the campground but if you own a wetsuit, harness, helmet, locking carabiners, ATC, safety sling or prusik bring it along!
If you have any questions message Jenny Stansby and Matthew Notarangelo on facebook. Write down whether you’ve done any canyons before, whether you have abseiled before, whether you have a car and your favourite canyon snack in the comments to be considered for this trip!
