Hey guys 🙂
Jenny Stansby and I will be leading Tiger Snake canyon on Sunday. It is beginner friendly, and mostly dry (unlikely to get wet past your thigh).
I’m opening only 3 spots to begin with but will open more if someone with a car signs up
If you’re interested in coming, please PM us both with:
- Do you have a car (and if you don’t have a car, if you can help with driving or not)
- Experience level (canyoning/abseiling experience)

What to bring (first two bullet points you can collect at gear night, other items you have to source yourself):
- Harness, helmet
- ATC, safety sling, at least 1 prussik, 3X locker biners
- Wear thermal leggings at least (If you have thin wet suit pants I find that works well too)
- Closed shoes and woollen socks (or wetsuit socks)
- A rain jacket/windbreaker to help reduce heat loss
- In a dry bag: Extra dry thermals (plus maybe a fleece/light jacket), extra woollen socks and beanie – it’s going to be COOOLD (max of 14deg, min of 2deg!)
- Food and water for a full day
- Headtorch (you can get cheap headtorches from Anaconda or maybe Decathalon, and better quality ones from Climbing anchors)
- All this should fit in your own backpack with extra space to help carry rope
