Hey Everyone.
I have been involved with setting the course for the 6hr Paddy Pallin rogaine event this year. I must say, it looks to be one of the most pleasant courses I’ve ever seen. The terrain is mix between rolling grazing land and open bush land. A highlight of the course is the Wollondilly River which borders the course to the north and the west. During course setting I saw Kangaroo’s, Emu’s and plenty of Sheep! If you keep your eye’s peeled, you might even see a Koala or a Platypus.
This is a perfect event for beginners to who want to start learning navigation skills. It is a highly forgiving course and will reward good use of a compass, but won’t penalise you if mess up a little.
The event website can be seen here. http://nswrogaining.org/AboutEvents/Events/17PP/17PP.htm
I will leave you with some photos of the course.
