Dam Criffs: Beginner Climbing Sun(turnt)day

Eamonn, Bayu and I (Vicky) will be running a beginners climbing trip on the saturday of boree log.

No climbing experience? No worries. We will head to Dam Cliffs, a friendly place to meet real rock for the first time. We will set up top ropes and the crag will look like an outdoor gym. It’s also got a pretty sick deep water solo wall (where you climb above deep water without ropes/harnesses) so bring a towel if you want to have a go at that.

All the special climbing gear will be provided by the club, just make sure you have the following:

• comfy clothes (tight/stretchy clothes is a good go)
• walking shoes
• lunch
• sunscreen/sunnies
• towel (optional)

If you do have any gear of your own please bring it! This includes:

• Climbing shoes
• Harness
• ATC (or other belay device)
• Safety sling
• Locking biners
• Rope

Also – if you are an experienced climber, maybe consider another trip and leave this trip for beginners (:
