Hey guys!
This is the introductory caving trip
When and where:
3rd and 4th March.
Drive up Friday evening, camp at the Bungonia campgrounds, then start in the morning. Plan is to do B4-5, have lunch, then Blowfly cave for an introduction to rope work underground. Drive back to Sydney Saturday night.
What’s happening:
B4-5 is a super fun beginner cave. There’s heaps of scrambling, crawling, squeezing, sliding through passages and caverns. There is a short (3m), quite easy free climb at the end of the cave, so being generally comfortable climbing is necessary.
Blowfly starts with about a 30m abseil, which means jumarring on the way out.
Experience:
While it is not necessary to have jumarred before, some general knowledge rope work is required. This could mean you’ve lead climbed before, have been canyoning/abseiling or something like that.
Please Facebook message me with your relevant outdoors experience!
