Hey everyone.

The second part of intro to Trad climbing – Anchors!
Law Building (room TBA) 6:30pm Monday

You can’t Trad climb if you don’t know how to build a SRENE anchor in a wide variety of situations (2,3 or 4 pieces of varying distance away from you). Your anchor and your gear is your life so come learn as best you can.

It helps a lot if you came to the Basic Anchors course but is not necessary.

I will cover:

  • SRENE (Strong, Redundant, Equalised, No extension, Efficient)
  • Cordallette Anchors (Equalette, Cordallette)
  • Rope Anchors (Cordallette)

And their pro’s and cons.

Cheers,
Brendan

NB: This does not qualify you to go out trad climbing. You still should have experienced teachers and supervisors and learn the process of climbing safely.
