We are running this on-campus training session for people who have been climbing and canyoning for awhile/have become confident, and want to start learning to become independent and run trips for others. The focus will be on climbing and canyoning trips.
This training session is only the beginning*, and based on who shows interest, we’ll start looking into more practical training. We are investing time and effort into training new trip leaders for the club, so think about whether this is something you might like to do 🙂
Topics covered range from basics like creating a trip on the website, responsibilities of a trip leader (incl. a bit on legal liability) and the list of extras that i trip leader should bring, to more practical aspects such as basic rigging, steps to go through when teaching someone to abseil etc.

*attending this training session will not mean you are ready to lead trips on your own yet.
