Beginner Outdoor Climbing Trip – Medlow Bath

Hey all,

Vicky and I will be running a beginner trip next Sunday (3rd July) at Medlow bath in the Blue Mountains. Beautiful scenery and some great beginner climbing routes! Very close to the train station with about a 20 minute walk into the area.

At the moment the trip will be limited to 4 beginner climbers, but more spots will open up if some more leaders will come along. Preference will be given to club members who haven’t climbed outdoors before. No minimum climbing grade necessary, but 14 indoors would be beneficial. All climbing related gear can be hired FREE from the gear cupboard on wednesday evening!

What you need to bring:

-Food (lunch for the day and snacks)

-Water (About 1.5L)

-Warm clothes (It’s going to be cold! Bring thermals, warm jackets etc)

-Climbing Gear (*can be hired FREE from gear cupboard)

• * 1 Locking carabiner
• * 1 belay plate
• * Harness
• * Climbing shoes
• * Helmet
• Chalk – optional

-Petrol money/public transport money
