This is a bushwalk from pierce’s pass picnic area / carpark to perry’s lookdown, and then catching the train back from blackheath station. If you don’t have a lift home on Sunday this is perfect for you.
The idea is for everyone to leave their baggage at the campsite and grab lifts to pierce’s pass, it’s a 5 min drive from the turnoff to Mt Wilson, so a very small detour. The way will take us down into the gross valley, along the gross river and up the other side to be rewarded by an amazing view at perry’s lookdown. Walk details and track notes can be found here. We’ll then start ferrying people to blackheath station for the ride home.
This whole thing requires someone with a car to take the luggage to perry’s lookdown and walk to meet the group. If you have a car and can help out that would be fantastic. If you have a car but just want to do the normal walk that can be arranged too.
To bring: shoes, lunch, sun protection, water bottles (at least 2L).
