I will be leading a hike on Sunday. Destination will depend on number of participants, availability of cars, and level of hangover. It will be an easy to moderate on-track hike on the order of 10 km or so. I will post more details by the end of the week. When you register for the event please send me an email letting me know if you will have a car at Boree Log and what you are interested in seeing or doing (i.e. waterfalls, historical sites, peaks, valley-views, etc). Also, feel free to suggest a hike that you are interested in doing. You can find some motivation here and here.
You will need to bring:
- A Daypack– Just to fit the items on this list.
- Lunch – Anything you want, better to bring too much than not enough.
- Snacks – Again anything is fine but I would suggest high energy foods like nuts, fruit (dried or normal), chocolate, muesli bars etc.
- At least 2L of Water – If it is a particularly hot you may want more. Keep in mind we will be out most of the day.
- Enclosed Shoes – Hiking shoes are great, Joggers are definitely fine, Thin/Flat soled shoes like Converses or Volleys are imo a poor choice but would be passable. Thongs are absolutely moronic…
- Sunscreen and Hat – Always use protection!
- Swimmers and Towel (Optional)
