Hey Everyone,
It’s with heavy hearts that the club will be saying goodbye to the Ledge Climbing centre this year. The Sydney University Board has made a final decision to keep the gym open until January 31st, then moving forward a closure date will be reviewed fortnightly. There will be announcements via our socials when this occurs.
Thank you to all those who wrote letters and the 851 of you who signed our petition. Almost 500 of you who signed shared the impact and importance of the ledge and we are very much appreciative of your time and effort in responding.
This gym has been such an important part of our community for many years now. It has been the perfect place to make new friends and see old ones, have a climb and learn new skills, and even to get rock hard abs and a core of steel (thank you Bennett, Daniel and Caitlin for all the core sessions).
Thank you to Pete for making the gym what it is today and putting up with our shenanigans over the years. It wouldn’t have been the same without him. We’d also like to thank Veronique, Tom, Caitlin, Gabriel and Tahlia for all their hard work, and amazing setting.

The Ledge Farewell BBQ!
The UNSW Outdoors Club would like to invite you to come for a climb and free snag at the Ledge on Thursday January 30th at 6pm! Even if you’ve never been to the Ledge or climbed before, now’s your chance! Bring your friends and let’s have a good time!
This is a combined event with other outdoor and climbing clubs so be sure to harass your friends from there to come along too!
