Bungonia? I hardly know her!
Brendan and I will be running Bungonia Main canyon this Boree Log (Canyon Description here).
(image taken from another UNSWOC event: (read here)
Expect this to be a LONG day of about 10 hours, abseiling, jumps, scrambling and walking in possible cold/wet conditions. You must be competent with vertical abseiling, and have done at least 2 wet canyons previously. Preference will be given to people who have rigging experience so we can efficiently ‘leap frog’ through the canyon. This will be a great experience to learn efficient canyon movement and working in rope teams.
BECAUSE THIS WILL BE A LONG DAY WE WILL BE MEETING AND CAMPING AT BUNGONIA CAMPGROUND ON FRIDAY NIGHT. We will get up EARLY, go do the canyon and then join the rest of Boree Log at the Bendeela campground.
