Saturday BL – Other Bowens Canyon [Beginner]

You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly

Join Noah and I as we go down Other Bowens for what might be one of my greatest ideas yet!

Now what makes this idea so great and amzing and stand out from the rest of my brilliant ideas you may ask?

well you may not… (its a suprise!)

But there is some critical info between my rambles so listen closely children.

Gear you MUST bring,

• Backpack that can fit ALL your gear and that can get wet (30L+)
• Emergency blanket – (can buy from Gear Cupboard for $5 or from chemists, shops, etc)
• Enclosed shoes with good grip, suitable for water and bushwalking
• thick socks
• Thermals and raincoat
• Excitement
• Swimmers for under wetsuit
• NO COTTON! (this includes socks, shirts, pants, etc)
• 2L of water
• Lunch
• Snacks to share with meeeeeeeeee 😋 (will leave you behind if you dont)
• Medication (asthma puffer, Epipen etc)
• Headtorch + spare batteries
• Dry clothes and a towel for the drive back home (wet bums aint cool)

Gear you will receive day

• Figure Eight style descender
• Helmet
• Canyoning Harness
• Full length wetsuit
• 3x Locking Carabiners
• Safety (a 120cm sling works)
• Drybag or keg
