SATURDAY BL – Gooch’s Crater Hike [Intermediate]

Please note: You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip, this just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly

Hi everyone!

Callum and I (Lena), will be leading an intermediate hike on Saturday to Gooch’s Crater. It will be about 17km with plenty of elevation (over 600m) and some tricky terrain! Expect lots of bush bashing, some rock scrambling and stunning views. Exciting!!

This trail will require good fitness as well as hiking experience, since it is quite long (will take over 6 hours) and has some off-track sections and bush-bashing.

What to bring:

• Sturdy shoes! (Hiking shoes would be prefarable but whatever you usually wear is fine)
• Small-medium sized backpack to hold your belongings
• At least 2L of water **super important to have enough water!!**
• Lunch and snacks for the day
• Sun protection: sunscreen + hat
• Long pants (+ long sleeves if you are pro like that) if you don’t want to get scratched up!
• Any personal medication you may need
