Hey everyone,
Lucas, Aaron, and I (Marcus Gatt) will be leading a beginner friendly sport climbing trip on Saturday 7th October to Barden’s Lookout Crag in the Blue Mountains. This area is a great place to be introduced to outdoor climbing as there are plenty of easier routes and a variety of grades.
We will be setting up top ropes for most the climbs so no experience is required, only enthusiasm to touch rocks!
If you have been climbing for a decent bit now and are interested in learning more technical climbing skills such as leading, or cleaning routes let us know in the comments and we can show you where to get started 🙂.

In terms of transport, we will organise carpooling, let us know if you have a car. This will be an all day adventure, we will depart early in the morning, and will return back to Sydney in the night.
If you have never climbed before, I would recommend prior to the trip, coming to one of the Thursday nights at the ledge climbing centre to learn how to top-rope belay and get some practice in 😀
If you’re interested in joining, apply below and leave a comment with any climbing experience and grades, and if you’d hope to learn anything in particular on the trip. Also tell us the name of a climb that looks interesting to you from the website linked just above so we know you have read this far. If you’ve got any questions, feel free to message me on Facebook (Marcus Gatt).
