What to expect:
The pool session is a chance for paddlers in the community (new and old alike) to learn and practice rolling from other more experienced paddlers. There wonโt be 1 single instructor standing in front teaching everyone. Instead, it will more so be a matter of approaching a more experienced paddler and asking for some guidance and lessons for learning what you want to learn. As such, if you have a friend who is experienced, it is worth asking them to come along (for free) to be able to help teach you. Learning to roll is a fairly 1 on 1 task, and so an experienced paddler wonโt necessarily be able to dedicate their entire 2 hours to just you.We will have 3 lanes to use for learning and practicing rolling in the shallow end, but only so many boats can actually fit into the shallow end. As such, please expect that there will be times where you arenโt able to be in the shallow end where a helper can stand and guide you. Instead, you can spend time practicing other techniques such as hip flicks, T rescues, or paddle techniques.
