TRIP FULL
Hey guys,
Vicky and I will be running an intermediate canyon to Jerrara Creek on the Saturday of Borree Log (Canyon Description here).
(image taken from another UNSWOC event: (read here)
Expect this to be a LONG day of about 10 hours, abseiling, jumps, scrambling and walking in possible cold/wet conditions. You must be competent with vertical abseiling, and have done at least 2 wet canyons previously. Due to weather, we were unable to scout the canyon out previously, so expect a longer than normal canyon due to navigation.
Places are limited to 4 people.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Dry bag (can be purchased from an outdoors store – or maybe borrow off a member in the club)
- Helmet*
- Harness*
- ATC*
- Safety Sling*
- 2 x locking carabiners*
- Enclosed shoes that you can walk in while wet
- Warm socks (NOT cotton)
