SUMMARY:Yileen Canyon
DESCRIPTION:\n\nBrendon and I (Scott) will be running a trip canyoning trip
  down Yileen Canyon this weekend. Yileen Canyon is one of the better canyo
 ns on the south side of Bells Line of Road. It features several sections o
 f canyon\, finishing with an abseil of up to 60m into the Grose Valley. Th
 e name comes from an aboriginal word for dream.\n\nThis trip is open to a 
 range of abilities. The more canyoning experience you have\, the more like
 ly you are to get accepted.\n\nWe will be meeting at UNSW (gear cupboard) 
 at 7 am Sunday morning and carpooling up to the Mt Wilson (will only be ta
 king two cars). From there we will do a quick car shuttle\, before beginni
 ng a short 2km walk to the start of the Yileen Canyon.  Depend on group s
 ize it should take about 7 hours in total to complete with a very competen
 t goal to get out before dark. Proceeding to drive back to Sydney afterwar
 ds.\n\nWhat to bring:\n\n 	Harness *\n 	Helmet *\n 	Descender of choice *\
 n 	2 locking biners *\n 	Prussik and biner (ONLY if you know how to self-r
 escue) *\n 	Safety sling *\n 	Wetsuit *\n 	Thermals\n 	Torch (bring spare
  batteries)\n 	Emergency blanket (can be purchased for $5 from the gear cu
 pboard)\n 	Sunscreen\n 	First aid kit (if you have one)\n 	Lunch\n 	Snacks
 \n 	2L of water minimum\n 	Dry clothes\n 	Thermals\n 	Drybag\n 	Backpack (
 25-40L)\n 	Enclosed shoes for canyoning\n 	Dry shoes (sandals/thongs are g
