SUMMARY:Womxn Box Creek Canyon - learn to rig
DESCRIPTION:Hi All! Me (Margot) and assorted wives (Angela\, Zara and Emily
 ) will be running a womxn trip next Sunday! The plan is to go to Box Creek
  in Kanangra and practice rigging as this canyon has heaps of abseils\, an
 d we’ll have a high trip leader to participant ratio. Its also very open
  and sunny so hopefully we can stay warm. Ideally\, you have been on a few
  canyons before and are keen to upskill to become a trip leader/self suffi
 cient for canyoning. Kanangra is another bit farther beyond the blue mount
 ains so consider making a weekend of it with some other climbing and canyo
 ning in the mountains on Saturday (after you vote ) Here are some notes on
  the canyon: Box Creek Canyon - ropewiki It is a shorter canyon\, but we
 ’ll be practicing rigging skills so expect 8h+\n\nYou will need:\n\no To
  be keen to learn to rig and upskill\no Ready for a colder day! Its cold u
 p here these days!\no A headtorch\no A dry bag*\no A backpack to fit all y
 our gear + rope and can get wet. Preferably borrow a canyon bag from the c
 lub if you don't have one*\no Wetsuit (preferably 5mm its going to be cold
 dd)*\no Rain jacket\no Thermals\no Wool socks\no Shoes with grip\no Helmet
 *\no Harness*\no Descender (preferably an 8 style)*\no Personal safety*\no
  Locking Carabiner*\no An emergency blanket (can be bought from the gear c
 upboard – $5)\no Food and water\no Any rigging or other gear you have an
 d want to practice with\no To be not a man (sorry men)\n*Can be borrowed f
 rom the gear cupboard\n\nIf you’re keen\, put in the comments what canyo
 n experience you have\, and an overview of your rigging/rope skills experi
