The Wolgan has some awesome canyons\, including one that is almost entirely dark and lit by glow worms!\n\nCome join us for a weekend of canyoning in what is essentially a private valley at the moment. ACA have organised access into the Newnes valley (currently residents only) for this weekend only!\n\nWe will be running canyons Saturday and Sunday. We will drive into the valle y early on Saturday morning and all leave Sunday evening.\n\n \;\n\n[c aption id="attachment_19821" align="alignnone" width="577"] "It was like t he Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster at Movie World" - Max[/caption]\n\n \;\nL ogistics and important details\n\n\n\nTo cover the costs of the vehicle es cort\, camping\, bolting fund and 6 months of ACA membership\, this trip w ill cost $50.\n\nYou need to sign up to the ACA and their event at this li nk.\n\nYou need to sign up to the ACA online ($20) and bring cash for the escort ($30). We will be camping down in the valley so you will also need to bring all your camping gear and food for the weekend. The pizza oven wi ll be going though\, so consider bringing dough\, sauce and toppings! If y ou've read this\, include your fave pizza topping in the comments.\n\nWe n eed to be escorted into the valley\, and the road is only passable to high clearance SUVs and 4WDs. This means we will all need to meet together at 7:30 am Saturday morning at this location. Don't be late\, you will be lef t behind. We will also all have to leave together on Sunday eve. Consider camping nearby on Friday night if this is too early for you. E.g. free cam ping at Mt York.\n\nWhen signing up please indicate if you have an SUV/4WD or regular car. We will then organise carpooling up from Sydney and into the valley.\n\nThere are showers and flushing toilets at the campground. I t's better if you bring in your own water\, but some water is available (p umped and treated river water).\n\nGiven the remoteness of the trip\, I'll be picking people with at least a bit of canyon experience.
