DESCRIPTION:\n\nI am traveling to the small town of Murchison\, New Zealand
  to go whitewater kayaking. Part of my trip includes a four-day course wit
 h the New Zealand Kayak School in order to improve my kayaking and learn n
 ew skills\, which I will be able to bring back and teach to aspiring club 
 kayakers.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nI'm flying to Christchurch on the 12th of December
  and staying one night before catching two buses to Murchison. The Kayakin
 g Course runs from the evening of the 13th through to the evening of the 1
 7th.\n\nThe course covers:\n\n 	kayaking skills\n 	river scouting techniqu
 es\n 	setting river safety\n 	rescue techniques\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe course w
 ill provide me with an opportunity to learn a large number of new skills a
 nd will introduce me to the local rivers. Following the course\, I will st
 ay three extra days to go paddling with local kayakers and put my new skil
 ls to a test.\n\nIn preparation for this trip\, I have been training for 6
  months to build up sufficient strength\, endurance and skill in the kayak
  to maximize my time on the water. I am now at a stage in my kayaking prog
 ression where I will benefit greatly from this trip\, and upon my return\,
  I will begin teaching other club kayakers the lessons I learned.\n\n&nbsp
 \;\n\n&nbsp\;
