SUMMARY:Trip Leader Training Series
DESCRIPTION:Term 2 trip leader training series\nThis series is to up skill
current trip leaders in training. It is mostly for people who have already
been shadowing trips but new interest is also welcomed.\n\nThese will be
fortnightly sessions starting in week 3. The sessions will focus on rope s
kills for canyoning and climbing but also cover the basics of how trips ru
n in this club. Even if you have the technical skills these workshops are
aimed at practicing and reiterating these skills so I still recommend that
you attend. It will also be a fun time to explore rope systems\, ask ques
tions and have some fun.\n\n\n\nIdeally TLIT will learn by actively leadin
g trips under supervision (particularly under supervision of an experience
d trip leader). And while it is strongly encouraged that all TLIT do do th
is\, sometimes gaps are missed or bad habits transferred. There is a group
of experienced trip leaders running these session so you get a broad rang
e of skills and we will aim to create strong foundations or fill in any ga
ps that can be built upon on actual supervised trips. And while these skil
ls are great for trip leading they will also be great for your own adventu
res.\n(Photos of Little Jenny and Hayden thanks to Sid)\nTraining will be
