DESCRIPTION:Hello!\n\nIt's been barely half a year but our last Interclub S tory Night was such a success\, we're bringing it back for round 2!\n\nWhe n: Wednesday 28th of October (which happens to be exactly six months after the last one).\n\nWhere: The Flodge (or the UTS lecture theatre again in case something happens)\n\nWhat is an Interclub Story Night?\n\nBasically\ , we've gotten together with UTS and USYD's outdoors clubs and listen to m embers of our clubs tell cool stories about the adventures they’ve been on recently. Last time\, the presentations ranged from hiking in Nepal to Canyoning in Taiwan\, and many more in-between.\n\nGrab a drink and kick b ack to these stories\, and we'll also be providing lots of sides and snack s :)\n\nWhat’s different this time?\n\nLast time\, most of the stories w ere about major overseas adventures. While these were awesome\, shorter st ories about local trips can also be great fun\, so we’re encouraging pre sentations of both types this time. Also\, we’ll be welcoming a guest sp eaker Brendon Flannagan (a key member of the Australian School of Mountain eering)\, to give a presentation about the journey of writing his new book The Australian Climbing Handbook. The Club Library also has a copy of thi s book\, if you were interested.\n\nTimeline?\n\nThe night will follow thi s (very) rough structure:\n\n 5:30pm doors open.\n 6:00pm short stories about local trips start.\n 6:45pm Brendon’s presentation.\n 7:00pm foo d and chat break.\n 7:30pm longer stories about bigger adventures.\n 8:3 0pm wrap up the presentations\, people are welcome to sit around and socia lise a bit longer.\n\n \;\n\n \;\n\nThere are two ways you can par ticipate in this event:\n\nListen to some sick stories 🍿\n\nSign up to this event as normal. You will receive a payment link by email once you re quest.\n\nThe club will be providing snacks and sides\, and we request a s mall fee of $5 to just guarantee your spot and partially contribute to the costs.\n\nYou will only be "approved" onto the event once you pay at the associated link. It doesn't need to be an epic 38-day trek through the Himalayas. A bike packing trip through the Southern Highlands? A new route into a canyon? Fo und a really cool river? \;We want to hear it!\n\nIf you’re thinking about presenting: sign up to this event as an EOI and give a summary of w hat you’d talk about. People love tension\, drama\, funny mome nts\, unique experiences\, and spectacular photos. But make it your own\, and be creative! If you were on this adventure with a friend\, you’re mo re than welcome to present together.
