SUMMARY:[FULL] SUNDAY BL – YILEEN Canyon [Intermediate]
DESCRIPTION:Brendan  and I will be running a canyoning trip down to Yileen
  on Sunday!\n\nYou need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to att
 end these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get reje
 cted you can then sign up for another trip\, this just makes it easier for
  volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredicta
 ble\, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n
 We’re looking at 6 hours in total. Driving to the Mount Wilson turn-off\
 , we will bushwalk down to the canyon to swim\, abseil\, walk\, crawl\, an
 d scramble our way through some very cold water in our wetsuits before hea
 ding back to our cars. There is the option of a car shuffle to save an hou
 r of walking back to the top – if you are able to drive\, you will be mo
 re likely to be accepted into this trip!\n\nThere will be some lovely abse
 ils along the way\, including a stunning iconic 40m abseil!\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n
 Please make you sure bring ALL required gear. Some gear is available to 
 borrow from camp but it is limited – if you have any of your own please 
 bring it!\n\nGear available to borrow from the Club on the day:\n\n 	Canyo
 ning harness\n 	Helmet\n 	3 x Locking carabiners\n 	1x Figure 8 / descende
 r\n 	1x Safety sling\n 	Drybag \n\nOther gear you MUST bring:\n\n 	Bac
 kpack that can fit ALL your gear and that can get wet (30L+)\n 	Wetsuit (
 if you don’t own a wetsuit\, the club has some to borrow – no guarante
 es of sizing/availability\, however!)\n 	Emergency blanket – (can buy f
 rom Gear Cupboard for $5 or from chemists\, shops\, etc)\n 	Clothing:\n\n 
 	Enclosed shoes with good grip\, suitable for water and bushwalking\n 	Wo
 ol or neoprene socks\n 	Boardshorts to wear on top of wetsuit (compulsor
 y to protect the club wetsuits)\n 	Thermals and raincoat\n 	Swimmers for u
 nder wetsuit\n 	NO COTTON! (this includes socks\, shirts\, pants\, etc)\n
 \n\n 	Food:\n\n 	2L of water\n 	Lunch\n 	Snacks to share!\n\n\n 	Other:\n\
 n 	Medication (asthma puffer\, Epipen etc)\n 	Headtorch + spare batteries
