SUMMARY:[FULL] SUNDAY BL - Upper Wollangambe Canyon
DESCRIPTION:You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend 
 these trips. If you get rejected then you can sign up for another trip\, t
 his just makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that 
 as the weather is unpredictable\, trip leaders may need to alter trips acc
 ordingly.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPlease read the entire post and answer all questio
 ns before signing up.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nHi all!\n\nNadav and I (Stephen) are r
 unning a trip on Saturday of Boree Log to Wollangambe Canyon at Mt Wilson.
  Despite this canyon having no abseils\, it will be a long day (7 hours)\,
  with lots of swimming (2.5 km)\, scrambling and potential for rock jumps.
 \n\nParticipants need to be competent swimmers\, good at handling cold wat
 er\, and prepared (mentally) for some long walks in and out of the canyon 
 (320 m ascent).\n\nInfo about the canyon can be found here! If we have tim
 e we may also explore the beautiful lower section of Water Dragon Canyon.\
 n\n\n\n 	Canyoning gear provided at Boree Log event (If you have personal 
 gear it is helpful to bring this along):\n\n 	Drybag*\n 	Wetsuit*\n 	Helme
 t*\n\n\n 	Canyoning gear not provided:\n\n 	Emergency blanket (You must ca
 rry one on every club canyoning trip. You must buy one from the gear cupbo
 ard for $5 cash or most outdoor stores)\n 	Backpack that can fit ALL your 
 gear inside and that can get wet.\n 	Lilo or inflatable tube to float down
  the river on\, be prepared for it to pop and make sure it is lightweight 
 as you will need to carry it in and out.\n\n\n\n\n 	Clothing:\n\n 	Enclose
 d shoes with good grip\n 	Hat\, sunglasses &amp\; sunscreen\n 	Wool socks\
 n 	Boardshorts to wear on top of wetsuit (compulsory to protect the club w
 etsuits)\n 	Thermals to wear under your wetsuit (optional\, but helpful)\n
  	NO COTTON!\n\n\n 	Food:\n\n 	1.5L of water in bottles.\n 	Substantial lu
 nch (pack it in a waterproof container\, and make sure it’s vaguely crus
 h-proof)\n 	Snacks (chocolate or something nice to share!)\n\n\n 	Miscella
 neous:\n\n 	Any personal medicine (asthma puffer\, Epipen etc)\n 	A pair o
 f thongs/flipflops to leave in the car (since your shoes will get wet)\n 	
 Phone or camera for photos (optional\, and only if you’re prepared for i
 t to get wet if your drybag leaks! Bring a ziploc bag or two to protect it
