DESCRIPTION:“You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to atte
 nd these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejec
 ted you can then sign up for another trip\, this just makes it easier for 
 volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictab
 le\, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly”\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoi
 n Gabi and myself (Oliver) for a fun\, big day of canyoning on Sunday at B
 oree Log!\n\nThis will be a full day – think 8 hours start to finish –
  so you must have a high enough level fitness\, and some experience abseil
 ing already (you don’t need to have done a canyon before). Expect multip
 le abseils\, hiking on steep and slippery slopes\, and cold swims. Have a

 look through them prior to the day. When applying\, how much abseiling/can

 e?\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIt’s critical that every bon this trip has the right ge
 ar:\n\nGear available to borrow from the club (this will all be brought to
  Boree Log\, you don’t need to hire beforehand). Please bring your own i
 f you have:\n\n 	Harness\n 	Helmet\n 	3x locking carabiners\n 	1x Figure 8
  / Descender\n 	1x Safety sling\n 	Drybag\n 	Wetsuit\n 	Backpack that can 
 fit ALL your gear and that can get wet (30L+)\n\nOther gear you must bring
 \n\n 	Enclosed shoes with good grip\, suitable for water and bushwalking\n
  	Thick socks – you don’t want freezing cold feet all day\n 	Boardshor
 ts to wear on top of wetsuit (compulsory to protect the club wetsuits)\n 	
 Thermals and raincoat – important extra layers of warmth\, I'll be check
 ing\n 	Optional: beanie and gloves (a beanie can be worn under your helmet
  for warmth\, and gloves for warmth and for abseiling).\n 	Swimmers for un
 der wetsuit\n 	NO COTTON! (this includes socks\, shirts\, pants\, undies\,
  etc)\n 	A set of clothes to wear for the hike in an out – standard hiki
 ng clothes and hat\, preferably long sleeves and pants for sun/insect/snak
 e protection\n 	Towel and clean clothes for the car ride home (you don't w
 ant to be wet in the car!)\n 	2L of water\n 	An easy lunch\n 	Lots of high
  energy snacks to share\n 	Any personal medication (asthma puffer\, Epipen
  etc)\n 	Headtorch\n 	Emergency blanket – (can buy from Gear Cupboard fo
 r $5 or from chemists\, shops\, etc)\n\nIf you don’t have everything lis
