SUMMARY:[FULL] SATURDAY BL - TIGERSNAKE Canyon [Dry/Beginner]
DESCRIPTION:Juri and I (Maddi) are leading a trip on the Saturday of Boree 
 Log through Tiger Snake Canyon!\n\nTiger Snake Canyon is a narrow\, twisti
 ng tributary on the Newnes Plateau. It features two constrictions and a co
 uple of abseils. The lower is deep\, dark and spectacular.\n\n\n\nMore inf

 \n\nYou need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend these t
 rips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected you ca
 n then sign up for another trip\, this just makes it easier for volunteer 
 trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable\, trip 
 leaders may need to alter trips accordingly\n\nThis is a dry canyon so don
 ’t expect to get too wet\, but expect at least wet feet/legs. It will st
 ill be chilly however so bring warm clothes. e.g. Thermals beneath your cl
 othes with a rain jacket on top.\n\nIt’s alright if you have not abseile
 d before\, we can show you the ropes but please indicate in the comment bo
 x whether you have abseiled before and how experienced you are\, we will t
 ry have a balance of people.\n\nWhat to Expect:\n\n 	10kms of bush bashing
  and lots of walking up and down\n 	Abseiling and heights!\n 	Beautiful sl
 ot canyons\n 	Hopefully no tiger snakes!\n 	Knee deep wading\n\nPlease fil
 l out the form when you sign up and comment with your experience (if you
  don’t have rope skills\, just comment what other outdoor activities you
  have done) whether you have access to a car and the name of your most b
 eloved childhood stuffed toy.\n\nWe will need to drive out to the canyon s
 o if you own/have access to a car (that can go on unpaved roads) please pl
 ease please let us know!\n\nPlease make you sure bring ALL required gear
 . Some gear is available to borrow from the club at camp on the morning of
  but is limited – if you have any of your own please bring it!\n\nGear a
 vailable to borrow from the club:\n\n 	Harness\n 	Helmet\n 	3x locking car
 abiners\n 	1x Figure 8 / Descender\n 	1x Safety sling\n\nOther gear you 
 MUST bring:\n\n 	Backpack that can fit ALL your gear\n 	Clothing:\n\n 	Enc
 losed shoes with good grip\, suitable for water and bushwalking\n 	Wool o
 r neoprene socks\n 	Thermals and raincoat\n 	NO COTTON! (this includes s
 ocks\, shirts\, pants\, undies\, etc)\n\n\n 	Food:\n\n 	2L of water\n 	Lun
 ch\n 	Snacks to share\n\n\n 	Other:\n\n 	Medication (asthma puffer\, Epip
